Castlevania: Belmont's Curse Voice Cast and Actors
The full English and Japanese voice casts of Castlevania: Belmont's Curse — who voices Rose, Trevor, Sypha, Dracula and the bosses, plus dub and subtitle support.
The Full English Voice Cast
Konami revealed the complete English voice cast for Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse on August 24, 2026, through a dedicated cast-reveal trailer and press release. Ten characters are credited — the protagonist, her family, the series legend at the heart of the story, and the game’s roster of bosses, which you can browse in our boss list.
| Character | English voice actor | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Rose Belmont | Abby Trott | Playable protagonist; introduced in the reveal trailer |
| Trevor Belmont | JB Blanc | Rose’s father, hero of Castlevania III |
| Sypha Belnades | Alejandra Reynoso | Voiced Sypha in Netflix’s Castlevania series |
| Dracula | Graham McTavish | Voiced Dracula in Netflix’s Castlevania series |
| The Fallen | Ray Chase | Boss; true identity unannounced |
| Joan of Arc | Erica Lindbeck | Boss |
| Medusa | Melique Berger | Boss |
| Isaac | Liam O’Brien | Reprising Isaac from Castlevania: Curse of Darkness |
| Carmilla | Dawn M. Bennett | Boss |
| Death | Aaron LaPlante | Boss |
The announcement, reproduced in full by RPG Site, describes the lineup as an “ensemble cast [that] brings acclaimed performers from across games, film and television,” and singles out the trailer’s two headline reveals: it “introduces Abby Trott as the game’s protagonist, Rose Belmont, while revealing Graham McTavish as the iconic Dracula.”
One casting in particular carries series weight. “Liam O’Brien also reprises his role as Isaac, who first appeared in Castlevania: Curse of Darkness more than 20 years ago,” the release notes — making O’Brien the rare actor carried over from a previous game in the franchise, not just its animated adaptation.
The Japanese Voice Cast
The Japanese cast was revealed earlier, alongside the June 2026 release-date announcement, via Konami’s official Japanese website. Nine characters were listed at that time:
| Character | Japanese voice actor |
|---|---|
| Rose Belmont | Yui Ishikawa |
| Trevor Belmont | Ryotaro Okiayu |
| Count Dracula | Naoya Uchida |
| The Fallen | Nobutoshi Canna |
| Joan of Arc | Hana Takeda |
| Medusa | Aiko Okubo |
| Isaac | Moriya Endo |
| Carmilla | Mie Sonozaki |
| Death | Satoshi Tsuruoka |
Note the asymmetry: Sypha Belnades appears in the English list but not in the June Japanese list, and Konami has not yet announced a Japanese voice actor for her. If history is a guide, the official site’s character page will be updated with the remaining credits as launch approaches — treat any name you see for Japanese Sypha before an official listing as unverified.
Netflix Reunions and One Conspicuous Absence
The English cast reads like a partial Castlevania Netflix-series reunion. Graham McTavish (Dracula) and Alejandra Reynoso (Sypha) voiced those same characters across the animated show’s run, so two of the franchise’s most recognizable voices are returning to roles they already defined for a generation of fans.
The one break in the reunion: Richard Armitage, the Netflix series’ Trevor Belmont, is not reprising the role — the game’s Trevor is voiced by JB Blanc. Konami has not commented on the casting choice, and this article won’t speculate about reasons; it is simply the clearest signal that the game’s cast is a fresh ensemble informed by the show, not a direct transplant of it.
Liam O’Brien’s Isaac sits in a different category. His return traces to the games themselves — Curse of Darkness (2005) — which matters for lore reasons covered below.
Voice Direction: What Has Been Said (and What Hasn’t)
As of late August 2026, no developer interview has been published detailing the voice direction — tone targets, recording approach, localization pipeline, or how the English and Japanese scripts relate to each other. Neither KONAMI’s producers nor Evil Empire’s creative leads (Tsutomu Taniguchi and Emmanuel Nouaille, interviewed elsewhere about gameplay and collaboration) have publicly discussed the voice work in the interviews published so far.
What official materials do establish:
- Konami produced and published separate English- and Japanese-voiced trailer cuts, indicating both dubs are first-class parts of the presentation rather than an afterthought.
- Both voice tracks ship on every platform at launch — there is no platform-exclusive dub arrangement in any official listing.
- The press release frames the cast as performers drawn “from across games, film and television” — a deliberate mix of game-voice veterans and screen actors.
When a proper voice-direction or audio interview appears, this section will be updated with what the developers actually said — not paraphrased guesses.
Voice and Subtitle Language Support
The official Konami website product spec and the Steam listing agree exactly on language support, and the spec applies across PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, and PC:
| Support type | Languages |
|---|---|
| Voice acting (dub) | English, Japanese |
| Text and subtitles | English, Japanese, German, French, Italian, Spanish (Spain), Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Chinese (Traditional), Chinese (Simplified), Korean |
Practical takeaways: there are two dubs, not eleven — every language beyond English and Japanese is subtitles-only; and there is no announced option to mix tracks (for example, Japanese audio with English text is not explicitly confirmed as a toggle, though both tracks ship on all versions). Regional stores list identical language support, so the choice of platform does not affect dub or subtitle availability.
What the Cast Reveals About the 1499 Story
A cast list is quietly one of the most informative pre-launch story documents, because a character needs a voice actor only if they appear and speak. Four things follow.
Trevor is in the game, at least at the start. JB Blanc and Ryotaro Okiayu are both credited as Trevor, and the official story text describes Trevor venturing “into the burning streets with his daughter, Rose Belmont.” Whether he remains present — or alive — through the whole campaign is still unrevealed, as covered in our Rose Belmont story breakdown.
Sypha appears — but the mother question is still open. Alejandra Reynoso’s casting confirms Sypha Belnades is in the game in some form. It does not confirm she is Rose’s mother, the long-running fan assumption; Sony’s official hands-on describes Rose as carrying “guilt over her mother’s death,” and how Sypha fits that picture remains to be seen.
Isaac ties the game to Curse of Darkness. Isaac’s inclusion, voiced by the actor who played him in 2005, is the first confirmed character link between Belmont’s Curse and Castlevania: Curse of Darkness — a signal that the game leans on the deeper timeline, not just Castlevania III. Our timeline guide covers where 1499 sits in that larger chronology.
The Fallen is still nameless. Ray Chase and Nobutoshi Canna voice The Fallen, but a voice credit describes the performance, not the person under the hood. The popular Leon Belmont theory remains exactly that — an unconfirmed theory — until the game or Konami says otherwise.
Launch Update Promise
Everything above reflects officially confirmed information as of August 27, 2026. When Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse launches on October 15, 2026, we will update this page within the launch window with the full in-game credits — additional minor characters, any late cast additions (including Japanese Sypha), and corrections if any pre-launch listing changes before release. Release details and editions are covered in our release date guide.
